Lake of Vassivière
Artificial French lke of 9.76 km2. It is often compared to the Canadian countryside, as its forest landscapes, its islands and peninsula recall it.
With more than 1000ha of water and several beaches and harbours, it looks like a real seaside.
Walks on foot or bike rides, there are severals routes available for you;
On the sporting side : Sailing school, canoe, wind surfing, stand up, paddle, wake board, water ski... all,are possible!
On the leisure side and activities : There is something for every taste, local culture, exhibitions, various creative studios (ie painting, pottery...), half marathon, regatta...
Finally, the lake of Vassivière is fundamentally a park amongst many trees, available within is a skate park. And, of couse,the lake with shoals of fish just waiting for the anglers' fishing roads.

The fortress of Crozant

The wolves of Chabrières
The park of the Mountains of Guéret has been created within this unique area of the forest of Chabirères where all has been preserved and constructed for the wolves to live in an almost natural environment. The park is an invitation to discover 'close up' life of the wolves and their habitat.
